Provided by YP.comOur small Boston had a severe allergic reaction on Thanksgiving day. When it appeared she was having difficulty breathing, we rushed her to the emergency clinic. The caring staff rushed her back to Dr. Brown, who administered the proper medication to alleviate the allergy symptoms. He explained to us that she may become agitated from the injections and to monitor her. She did start to pace and cry, so we went back to the vet, where Dr. Brown offered to keep her for a few hours so he could monitor her there. We picked her up later that night, she was resting comfortably and not crying. We were very glad that Dr. Brown and his staff were available for our pet on a holiday, and we were grateful for the good care they provided.

Provided by YP.comI have used this vet hospital twice now and both times we received excellent care for our German Shepard. Dr. Brown’s care and competence are exceptional. He even took the time to give me step by step instructions for how to bandage my pups leg. Friendly and helpful staff as well, I highly recommend.

Thank you Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic, Dr. Brown and staff at the clinic for aiding pets to a place of peace and tranquility with care and empathy. It is a very difficult decision to make when contemplating and finally deciding to euthanize your family pet. Thank you for helping with the loss of losing a special friend while making the process as comfortable as possible. I will be highly recommending your emergency clinic to all my friends and family. A 5 STAR RATING!

Provided by YP.comI will keep this very simple. I asked for a quote to treat my dogs serious medical condition. I needed to make a tough decision. Should I treat my dog or put him down. These were my only choices at the time. I was given two quotes. A high and low estimate. Based on these quotes, I decided to go ahead with surgery. After successful treatment of my dog and I was told that treatment went without a hitch. I picked up my dog and my bill. They exceeded my High estimate by over six hundred dollars. The on duty staff apologized for such a big difference and said that the on duty Vet should have gave me a higher quote. Low estimate was $2,100, I payed $3,500. I have used other emergency clinics in the past and I have no problem with the high bills if I'm quoted honestly. I will never use this clinic again and suggest you don't either. My advice is to look up all your emergency clinics phone numbers in your area and program those numbers in your phone before an emergency happens. I wouldn't recommended this clinic!
We are deeply concerned about your online review. After careful assessment of your account, our records indicate we graciously sent you substantial cash recompense which was never acknowledged. You were given our standard 24 hour conditional estimate for 2 days of treatment for your pet’s serious medical condition; however, the additional 2 days of critical care could not be predicted on the estimate due to the pet’s failing condition of gastric torsion (stomach twisting) which required surgery. Here at Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic we give estimates to prevent pet owners from being surprised or upset due to financial constraints. We cannot and no other emergency veterinary clinic can give absolute estimates, predict or guesstimate medical outcomes. At Affordable Animal Emergency Clinic, we strive to meet and exceed our customers and their human owner’s expectations and we are saddened that you would not use our clinic in the future. Your pet was treated with care, compassion and a correct medical diagnosis which saved your pet’s life. We strive to give all of our animal patients the most caring and proper medical treatments at an affordable cost. We hoped that offering you a generous refund and keeping your final billing in the confines of our original estimate would have resolved any estimate oversights. Please contact our office if you would like to discuss your original estimate and closing refund.

Provided by YP.comI want to give the Auburn Animal Emergency Clinic a BIG thumps up. I have taken many pets to them over the years and they have always been very competent and compassionate. Yesterday my Yorkie was attacked by a pitbull and Dr. Brown did a magnificent repair job on him. I thought the wounds were too extensive to fix but Dr. Brown wouldn't let me give up and because of him Yoda is home with me today. Thank you Dr. Brown! I will always recommend you and this clinic to my friends.

Provided by YP.comDr. Brown was a very good doctor. He takes care all my birds in the past. He still make house call once in a while and a lot of his bird owner clients trusted him. I would recommend him to any bird owners because he understand birds and he always adore birds and treated birds like one of his own.

BEWARE
DO NOT TAKE ANY OF YOUR PETS TO THIS HOSPITAL. FIND ANOTHER ONE. Dr. Michael Brown killed my little Timneh African Grey. He was not the least bit gentle with her, and ended up pressing on her swollen abdomen, which resulted in my poor baby gasping for air, and she went into a seizure and died. He had not been in the room 5 minutes ! ! ! ! ! ! The reason she gasped for air is because when Doctor (haaa) Brown pressed on her distended abdomen, he ruptured a fluid sac causing fluid to dump into her air sac. THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIFYING VETERINARY EXPERIENCE I COULD EVER IMAGINE. MY POOR SWEET LITTLE GIRL DIED A HORRIFIC DEATH AT THE HANDS OF THIS RUDE, INSENSITIVE, POMPOUS VET. I told him that my avian vet had said that his next step was going to be an x-ray of my little girl, but Dr. Brown ignored that and just starting pressing her abdomen. I WISH TO GOD I COULD GO BACK AND DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. I WOULD TAKE MY PRECIOUS GIRL TO ANOTHER VET WHERE HER CHANCES OF SURVIVING HER VET VISIT WOULD BE MUCH IMPROVED. I ALSO WISH I HAD LISTENED TO MY INTUITIONS, BECAUSE I HAD A BAD FEELING ABOUT HIM THE MOMENT HE WALKED INTO THE ROOM!!!!
We are confused and deeply concerned with this report. After careful review of our records, here is the clinics dissertation of this review. Dr. Brown was well aware of the feeble condition of the bird when he saw it and was as tender and gentle with the bird as humanly possible. The bird went into agonal breathing and Dr. Brown knew the prognosis was grave. Immediately, Dr. Brown performed CPR to revive and try to save the birds life. The bird was not stable enough to X-ray and the patient misinterpreted what Dr. Brown was doing to try and resuscitate the bird. We feel that the client waited too long for medical care. When the bird arrived at the clinic it was extremely fragile and gasping for breath. Birds are masterful at hiding their illness. Many times by the time the owner realizes there is something wrong, as in this case, it is too late to help the pet. This is one of those unfortunate and poignant situations. For almost 34 years, Dr. Mike Brown has been treating exotics and is one of the few avian veterinarians in the area that treat birds on an emergency basis. When Dr. Brown started treating birds over 3 decades ago he handled many African grays. It is unfortunate that the owner blamed the vet and our clinic for the death of her pet. Dr. Brown and the staff did everything in their human power to save this precious pet. "It is part of our continued effort to provide the highest quality, compassionate care at reasonable prices for the community and surrounding areas, stated Dr. Mike Brown.”
