Gift Cards

I went to this McDonald's to buy 3 $10 gift cards for my grandsons for Easter. I paid for the 3 gift cards and then she handed me 3 gift cards with snowmen on them that say "Warm Wishes". I asked her if she had any different ones because I didn't want snowmen cards to put in the Easter cards. She shrugged her shoulders and said "nope, this is want you get". I couldn't believe her attitude for one and then, why Christmas gift cards in March? Can't these be retired for next Christmas? I took them bcause I already paid for them and my grandsons know that every holiday they get cards with McDonald's gift cards. Yesterday, when they opened the cards they all commented on the snowman gift cards.
