i understand that the place is run off donations and volunteers but i'm sorry...the prices are out of line..[st. vinnies is suppose to be there to help people that need it,but marking up the prices doesn't help anyone..it's a real shame...i have stopped donating to goodwill and now st. vinnies..Now about the staff..i understand that the chances are pretty high that they are volunteers or are being paid minimum wage but that doesn't mean to be rude and or sh***y .if you don't like the job go somewhere else .. because of the treatment i received i will no longer be spending any of my time or money at st. vincent's in auburn now I know losing me as a customer is of no great loss ..i know losing me as a customer will not make OR break them..from now on I will be donating what i can to womens shelters or drug and alcohol treatment centers as I am sure they will get good use of what i donate and it will be FREE with no BAD ATTITUDE to go with it...

The prices at this place have skyrocketed to the point that I do not go in there anymore. And some of the staff is so rude and unapproachable that it is uncomfortable. When asked why the prices are so high, I am told that it is management that sets the prices, yet they say they are supervisors. Hello.. Wake up and realize you are a thrift store. Things are not suppose to be priced higher then a normal store. You are suppose to be given deals......Would not recommend this place to anyone..

My wife and I have been shopping at St.Vinnies all of our lives and are not happy at all about the overnight price hikes on merchandise in our area stores. It's out of control much like the Goodwill has become. Too Bad!

I have only patronized the St. Vincen't de Paul store in Laconia, NH. I have to say that it is clean and very well organized staffed by local volunteers. All of the volunteersare lovely and give of their time to serve the community. What I like about St. Vincent De Paul is that all of the money earned at that store stays in the community. There is a big need in that area. They also help out people who are short on money just to live. I wish we had one closer to where I live because I would visit more often.

Very over priced merchandise. Can't beleive the prices they are asking for donated items. I asked cashier why items are marked so high her response was it's the manager! Then she told me I could come back and buy at 1/2 price colored tag sale when that color comes up. I was looking at a infants pajamas they wanted $8.99 and they were stained and worn. All items in store is grossly over price. I hadn't been in there for years and have been donating to the store. But, will not donate no more. I feel donated items should be marked reasonably so people that are in need things can buy at a reasonable price. Other st. vincent depaul store are priced reasonable that I have been to. I think they should be more reasonable with their pricing of merchandise.I wouldn't recommend this business.
