Our commode wasn’t shutting off and dripping around the clock, so I called and made an appointment for Sun State to come and fix the problem. Since my wife and I have been 100% medically disabled for over eight years, we’re forced to hire things done around our home. A plumber from Sun State came, replaced the flapper, gave me a bill for the flapper and service call, which I paid. After he left, the dripping continued. I called back to Sun State, and the next day, a different plumber came. He said that the problem was the float system. He replaced the float system and charged another service call, too. The next day, the dripping was even worse than before. I called Sun State again, and a third plumber came to look at the commode. He looked at the $400 commode and told me that the entire commode needed replaced. I paid the service call, and he left. I went to Lowe’s and asked an employee in the commode department about the problem, and he believed that it was only an adjustment that was needed to make on the float system. I went home, got a screwdriver, and turned the adjustment screw. The commode was fine immediately, and we’ve never had another dripping problem.
