Augusta Museum of History features Augusta's Story, an exhibit that focuses on the history of Augusta and the surrounding region. Other exhibits spotlight the history of golf and its legacy in Augusta and soul icon James Brown. The Local Legends exhibit features the accomplishments of other local residents. Life-size bronze statues of golf greats also are on display. Reminders of days gone by include a 1917 steam locomotive and a 1930s-era gas station. Historical documentaries are shown. Temporary exhibits also are available.
