Augusta Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. (AOPI) was formed in 1999 to re-establish patient care in the field of O&P on the local level. Roy R. Rice, III began working with Atlanta Prosthetics until after 15 years the company was sold to a nationally owned company.  Rice saw this as an opportunity and decided to leave the corporate hassle and form AOPI, which strives on quality patient care and personal attention that all people deserve which eliminated the demands of the corporate atmosphere.

Our staff is fully licensed and certified in every type of prosthetic construction with the latest and most current design including myoelectric arms, the i-Limb hand and the be-Bionic, C-leg and Plie microprocessor controlled knee system and also specialize in Pediatric Prosthetics as well. Our orthotic expertise encompasses the Walk Aide System and the StarBand systems as well as custom fit devices such as Cranial molding, standing frames, AFO’s, SMO’s, KAFO’s, diabetic shoes and inserts, knee orthotics, and many more. We consider our facility to be an extension of the physical rehabilitation process and guarantee that our utmost consideration will be given to each and every patient. Our staff includes two ABC Certified Prosthetist, with a combined experience of over 50 years. As well as two ABC Certified Orthotist, with combined experience of over 40 years.
