Tubman Middle School is a learning center that serves students in grades six through eight. It is a part of the Richmond County School System, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. The school employs a staff of trained and certified teachers, paraprofessionals, custodians, counselors and reading tutors. Tubman Middle School features a media center that maintains a collection of educational software, reference materials, and fiction and nonfiction books. Its general academic curriculum includes subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. Tubman Middle School provides special education for students with various disabilities. In addition, the school operates book and positive girls clubs. Tubman Middle School is located in Augusta, Ga.
