Provided by YP.comDebbie, the receptionist, is very rude. I called yesterday to get a different contact lens brand, because the ones I was given hurt my eyes. She told me that I didn't pay for a contact lens exam, so I can't get a different brand. I got a contact lens exam when I went in two weeks ago, but the girl at the desk waived the fee, because we weren't prepared to pay for it since I was originally going to get glasses. Dr. Sleeper gave me a prescription for contacts and even put contacts in my eyes himself. So when I spoke with Debbie yesterday to get a different brand, but she said since I didn't pay for the exam, I can't get a different brand. I said I had the exam, it's in my chart and I have a receipt.. She said the woman who checked me out didn't have the authority to waive the fee. She told me she'd get back to me and hung up on me. I called back this morning and she was just as rude. She said she spoke to Dr. Sleeper yesterday and she said I should count my blessings that I didn't have to pay for the contact lens exam, but in order for me to get a different brand of contacts, I'd have to come back in and pay them $30. She said any other eye doctor would charge $275 or $300 for a contact lens exam. I said that's interesting. She said that's not interesting, that's just the way it works. I said "that is interesting, because my regular eye doctor charges the same fee as you, I'd just have to wait longer for an appointment, which is why I came here." She told me unless I wanted to pay the $30 for them to give me a different brand (same prescription, just the doctor writing for a different brand), then there was nothing she could do. I'm all set. I won't be going back there because of her. We are in the customer service business. That means serving customers, not being rude. I didn't do anything to her for her to treat me like this. I will be calling her manager, as well as her district manager to let them know about her "great" customer service skills.
