My family and I have been patients of this practice for over 3 years now. We've seen Dr. Lipnick and Dr. Scott Beougher. They have been very helpful and are fine doctors. Vera that schedules testing is also a wonderful woman who takes time with you and is very helpful. BUT..the women behind the desk, in billing and who schedule appts. are ridiculously rude. I've had over a dozen incidents with them that I tried to overlook but I'm done. I found another practice. They wouldn't schedule my daughter an appt. because she hadn't been feeling well for a few weeks...they thought it best that she go to the emergency room. WHAT?!? What's an emergency about not feeling well?!? Another time was a mistake made by our insurance company about my daughter being insured. After the appt., they denied her coverage saying she wouldn't actually be insured until after the first of the year. I was fighting it because they said she WAS insured and even sent us new cards with her name on them. I explained the situation with the Ponderosa billing dept. I told them I will personally pay the bill if the insurance company denies it after I've exhausted my appeals. They were even resubmitting it for me. My other daughter calls for an appt. and they tell her they won't see her until her sisters bill of over $125.00 is paid. I called them up asking why they just couldn't call and let me know my time is up...all efforts have been exhausted and the bill needs paid...it wasn't like it was 6 months and I was refusing to pay...and then I paid the bill. I knew from the beginning that I was responsible for that bill if insurance wouldn't pay it. I kept in touch with them, kept them updated and reassured them the whole time. Ugh! Then my husband needed paperwork filled out for work due to a back problem. He took it in as soon as he got it and explained that he had 7 days to turn it in. 5 days later, he went back to the office and the woman smirked and half chuckled at him as she firmly informed him that it's on the desk and will be done as soon as they can. My 68 year old husband did not deserve to be disrespected by some twit in desperate need of charm school. Over 18 months ago, my daughter had an appt. She was working and her relief did not come as scheduled for her to make it to her appt. My daughter called to explain, apologize and reschedule. They billed her the $35.00 which she paid and moved on. A month or so ago she missed another appt. and was again billed the $35.00. Then they told me that if she or any of us 5 miss another appt., we're banned from the practice. Not just her...all of us. Now I am NOT condoning missing appts. even if it can't be helped, but REALLY?!? There are 5 of us who have had countless appts. and paid thousands of dollars (or our insurance paid) over the last few years and 2 missed appts. in the 3 years that she's been going there.. that she paid the $35.00 for...and we're out? I called to discuss this and the billing dept. said I was mistaken..that it's 5 missed appts. per family, not 3..that someone gave me wrong information. I was reasonable, calm and respectful as I explained how I felt about all this. She said "I'd explain if you'd let me talk for a minute". That was it..I knew I couldn't go back there. I told her I'd need to leave the practice and go elsewhere. She said nothing...just "Okay". No I'm sorry to lose you, no let's work this out, no we value your business...just oh well, see you around. I told her I felt bad and I was very sad about feeling this way. Nothing. The sad part about it is that I liked the doctors. They're going to lose patients...and I hope they do..over poor help. There are plenty of people needing work that know how to interact with the public. Customer service can def be challenging but if you can't do it, find another job. I can't imagin...

Terrible office. Doctors are clueless and their billing staff is totally incompetent. They do not know how to bill inurance correctly and due to their incompetence they are now threatening us with collections agents. They did not file the claim on time even though they were provided with all required information at the time of the appointment. Avoid at all costs.

I have been using this practice for over 12 years. The doctors and nurses are so nice. They treat you like family. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Anytime I get referred out I have been referred to outstanding specialists. I highly trust my MD's opinion. They just revamped the entire office and it looks fantastic. Same Day Appointments. What more could you ask for?

The docs are great, however front desk and other aspects of this practice are atrocious:- 30 minute hold time while listening to a recording about their address and website, not even elevator music; how is someone at work, or a sick person supposed to endure that? and that is for something as simple as scheduling/rescheduling an appointment.- they will not mail you blood results after NUMEROUS requests - why are appts necessary for 3-minute procedures such as blood draws? others accept walk-ins.- they will only take your pulse by hand (!) and then make up and record your blood pressure (!) from that in their records- they're unreachable through their website. no feedback/survey forms, etc.looking for alternatives...

I have been going to Ponderosa since 1985.I had seen Dr. Peoples,Dr. Stanwix,& Dr. Draper.Since 1988 I have always seen Dr. John Draper for annual physicals or anything in addition at various times.They all know their stuff & are very professional.The staff,both non-nursing,as well as nursing have always been tops! Very efficient & never do I wait on hold,nor am I put off. I favor Dr. Draper because I like his personal touch & his explaining anything to me.He does not rush & is extremely caring.I recommend Ponderosa to everyone!! Excellent place!!!

I have been seeing Dr Stanwicx for about 6 years her bedside manor is the best I've ever experienced. Her knowledge is wonderful but it's the way she explains things to you in layman's terms that helps you understand your problem. She always recommends a natural remedy if possible. I strongly recommend her.

I am a patient of Dr. Stanwix and have been for over 9 years know. a friend of mine has been her patient for 30 years. Not only is Dr. Stanwix amazingly knowledgeable and extremely competent, but the entire office is great. you can always, always get a same day appt if it is necessary. yes the office is busy, but I've never waited more than 15 minutes past my appt time even on same day appts. The entire office staff is courteous, kind and caring. I wouldn't recommend another doctor or doctor's office in the city.

I have been a patient of Ponderosa for several years not one time that I can think of that there was great service. When you call you are put on hold for 15 to 20 minutes, but when I go in there all they do is talk back and forth to each other. I called today to speak with someone concerning a doctors note and I spoke with Linda who is another doctors assistant who me screamed at me and called me a liar! When I spoke to the office manager who also screamed at me and called me a liar Steve Elliot. I asked Steve for his direct boss name he refused to give it to me saying that he is the person over that whole office. Steve needs to be taken from that position because he has a lot of anger, and he also said why don't you find another doctor. I will never go back there and I highly reccommend that under no circumstances do you want their services because sick people need someone to have compassion. I've had breast cancer twice lost my kid a few years ago, my daughter just had a lump removed

I'd been bouncing around from physician to physician for several years before my first visit with Ponderosa Family Physicians, but after getting to know Dr Draper, I feel that I've found "my" physician for the long term - someone I trust and who listens to me with an open mind. The office in general has been easy to work with as well. Overall I'm very, very satisfied.

I made an appointment with Dr. Janet Pederson for my annual check up. She asked if I have been experiencing any health problems or concerns. I presented a printed list of symptoms which were in line with a thyroid disorder. Dr. Pederson took a look at my list and told me I needed to see a psychiatrist! To add insult I received a large bill for my visit. The billing department went to Dr. Pederson to ask why the visit had not been coded as an annual exam. Her response was she felt she deserved to bill the visit at a higher cost because of the significant amount of time she spent addressing my concerns! I am furious that she could have the nerve to think that she did anything worth being paid more than she deserved. She did not address any of my health concerns adequately nor did she offer solutions. I guess she feels that a patient should keep their mouth shut and not ask any questions during an annual exam. I will NEVER return to Dr Pederson and would not recommend her to anyone!

I love Dr. Gaede, he has taken care of my family for years. I do not reccomend Dr Bradley or Pederson they will stress you out and keep you paying for unneceessary paps, instead of doing ultrasounds for a ovarian cyst. So far all the others that I have seen are great and my toddler loves them.

This office is very caring, coordinating numerous specialists and medications for my husband and myself. We have been their patients for years. It is very difficult to find a group of doctors that take care of everyone in the family and also have the close contacts for referrals with the most qualified specialists in Colorado.

I have been going to this doctors office for a little over a year now. I have two boys and one of them is constantly ill with ear infections. The staff there is so friendly with him and he has no problems when I tell him we have to go see the Doctor. Recently my whole family has been struggeling with illness and they have treated all of us. Thank you Ponderosa!

I do know that the doctors here are wonderful - at least that has been my experience. However, as long as no one makes a mistake or anything - you will be fine.###But - I had a horrible experience because their office made a mistake. They treated me like it was my fault and made me undergo a lot of unnecessary stress because of it. When I complained to the office manager - there were no apologies for their behavior or the mistake. She admitted that they made the mistake - but never once apologized for how they treated me or how it affected me. Even though I really loved my doctor (Dr. Pederson) I will never step foot in this office ever again.######I have never experienced this lack of professionalism or unconcern for other people in any other doctor+s office.
