Bad grooming experience

I am really upset about my experience today. I brought my cat in for a grooming appt and noticed when I got home that he had multiple bruises. His spine is littered with little purple dots and his right ear is black from bruising at the tip. His cut is uneven and his nails were trimmed way too short, I didn't even ask for nail trimming. I was surprised when I arrived that my normal groomer wasn't available and was told by Jen that she would be grooming my cat. Because we had only had good post experiences I thought everything would be ok. Now I have an injured cat with a poor cut. I noticed the ear bruise when I picked him up but thought it might be dirt or dye or something by mistake. Only when I got him home did I see all the bruises and the botched cut job. I've never had any problems grooming him there. I am very disappointed and will be looking for a new place to groom my Kitty.

Offensive at best. I walked in today to ask about fleas. I have no cats or dogs, but a new neighbor has an indoor/outdoor dog that likes to jump up on you for attention, and I've noticed small itchy bites for the month he's been around. Looked up every creature that might leave bites and determined is not mites, bedbugs etc - and they're too small to simply pick up, and they hop which is characteristic of fleas. At the point the cashier had to take me back in search of someone to help me (when no one answered her overhead call), the guy she found (who was not busy w/anyone else to have prevented his answering the call) was so clearly uninterested in being bothered. I kept asking for info about fleas and he kept insisting that there's not much he can tell me unless he can see the bug and since I didn't bring in a bug to look at... (you can't catch a flea like a pillbug or a bee).....and he kept telling me the only thing I could really do was seek out professional help. He finally checked w/someone else to see what they might have in the store, at which point he decided to show me what they carried. Having already done a fair amount of research online beforehand to know what kind of info I should have been hearing and direction offered, I asked him at this point if he was even the right person for me to be asking - did he know anything about what I was asking. He stated that yes, he knew all this stuff, but that (again) without seeing the bug in question there wasn't much he could do, that for all he knew it could be any number of bugs - or I could even be imagining it. I was done. Left my complaint with his manager, who admitted you can't just catch a flea for examination, and I left. Its a new experience to have a store rep suggest a customer is just psychologically damaged. Find another pet store and don't waste your time here. Unbelievably rude and flat out offensive employees at this store.
