If you are are taking your car...

If you are are taking your car to this guy you might want to think twice

On 08/20/2011 I sent my Cadillac Catera 1997 to Sam's auto shop for repair. The engine will not start when I dropped the car for Peter doing business as Sam’s Auto repair to diagnose. The results showed dead starter total cost $521.75 which I signed for him to do the work. After couple of days Mr. Peter called me that the starter was changed but he sill cant start so he will have to changed the AC clutch. I was upset for his behavior showed try and error while he has charged me diagnose fee. At the end we agreed to I should go to junk yard to pull the part and bring it to him. At this point no extra money was mentioned. I brought the part to Peter himself and he told me he will call me when he is done. After couple of days he called me that he is done. I came in to pick my car and invoice Mr. Peter gave me earlier has changed from $521.75 to $881. I asked him where this coming from and his explanation was for putting in the AC clutch. My question to him was how hard is it to give me an advanced invoice for or at least get verbal okay if change in price. Peter did not get any better explanation and after back and forth arguing with Mr. Peter, he agreed to drop the price to $750.00. I was not prepared to pay that either because I saw Mr. Peters behavior as a rip-off. After I made several trips to Mr. Peter shop to get my car failed, out of desperation and frustration I agreed on $650.00. I gave Peter credit card but will not take because as he told me wanted to avoid paying tax on the deal. I made several attempts to pay Mr. Peter his money but he insisted will not take Credit or debit card, it has to be cash. Again out of frustration and desperation to get my car I went and got him cash of $650.00 on the 12/13/2011. When I brought the cash Mr. Peter changed his mind again that he will only take $750.00. We got into heated argument and he told me to leave his shop else he will call 911. He called 911 and officer Steve (District 1) showed after questioning Peter it became clear that he wanted to take the car away from me. The office asked Peter how much money does he wants. Peter changed from $650.00 he has asked me few minutes in cash to $750. The officer asked him again if I give him $750.00 can I take my car home now. He said no and changed from $750.00 to $881.75. The office with the new invoice in hand asked Peter again so if I give him $881.75 am I able to take my car. Peter replied no and prepared another invoice right there again and changed it to $3,881.75. Right there Officer Steve knew something was not right so he ask Peter have you changed the title into your name, he admitted he is the process. I was advice by the office to take action knowing Peter’s intension after questioning him. This is my complain and from all the people I have talk to that know this shop claim that is his nature. Mr. Peter needs to understand that consumers have right and that there are laws in place. I did not abandon my car with Peter if anything at all I have been in his shop at least 25 times trying to get my car and every time I went he finds and excuse not to give me my car by changing his position on something we have agreed upon already. Mr. Peter used all these excuses with the intension of buying time to manipulate the law to his advantage to take my. I have written to the office of Attorney General to place an indenture on the car and stop Mr. Peter from transferring my car into his name. Better Business B. has a copy of this complain. will update as we moveforward in this case.

stay away from this guy his own wokers will tell you in secreate that Peter does not get it.
