Occupational therapy assists individuals in improving their ability to function more safely, successfully, and independently in everyday life. For children, this includes their ability to play, socialize, take care of their bodies (ie. brush teeth, use the toilet, eat a well-balanced, nutritious diet, take a bath), complete morning and bedtime routines, and participate in their home, school, and community.
