Took my father in there to test out a James Tyler Variax , pricey guitar. Within 10 Minutes the battery was dead on the guitar and the other was also dead . I asked the salesmen for the cable to plug it into a Line 6 amp to get power to the guitars onboard electronics and it was if i asked him if i could have sex with his wife ! Ive known Pete and Carl Hix for many years but the staff they have employed at this store are just plain stupid. I pop quized one of the dbag kids working the counter on what scale the flaxwood guitar was hanging on the wall and he had no F'ing clue what i was talking about. The word scale was foriegn to him. If your going to sell musical insturments , you should know something about them. Just overall disgusted with the idiot employees working in this place these days. Save your time and your sanity and research and buy online. Mom and pop music stores are dead because they are staffed by incompitence. Its a shame too because ive shopped Hix since the 80s when they were behind marywood. We ended up getting the variax online , if the moron would have just listened to me and grabbed the cable , they would have had the sale.

Just picked up a 5 string bass, service was great. Did my homework and their price was $10 cheaper than the best price I could find on the internet.
