I have used a commercial tax prep service and also tried the online tax prep programs. This year, due to a change in circumstances, I went to a Marquez Tax Service. I have nothing but great things to say. They treated me with respect, were very knowledgeable and my tax pro promised to have everything double checked before my return was filed. I was welcomed warmly and treated to coffee and donuts while my return was prepared. I was told that it would take approximately 2 weeks for my return to come in. After I left, at about 1 week the manager called me to let me know that my check had came in. I was ecstatic that it had came in earlier than expected. All in all, I believe it was a very good experience and I will definitely return next year.
