Amy's has the best ice cream in Austin! The atmosphere is also super laid back and great for afternoon splurges.

I just tried this location out for the first time, and of course, the ice cream is as good as it always is. The guy who was helping was a really cool too. He kept trying to get us to figure out the quote of the day for a free crush'in, but despite his valiant efforts, we were too big of ding-dongs to figure it out.



This place is probably the best location for kids because it has a playground. It's also good for big groups because the outdoor tables are big and round. On a nice, cool night, sitting outside is very pleasant. However, I would imagine that at the height of the Texas heat, this location would not be a good pick because there's no indoor seating to escape the heat. That's why I gave it 3 stars. 4 is my default unless there's something spectacular about a place. Then, it goes down from there. I love outdoor seating, but for an ice cream shop, I think they should still have indoor seating as an alternative to beat the Texas heat.
