Provided by YP.comI see that most of these posts are really old! I have been talking my knifes there the last 6 years. Now that Cliff has bought the business a lot has changed, Anthony who works in the shop is REAL ANAL when it comes to sharpening. REAL perfectionist. Slip him a a couple extra bucks "per knife" in the tip jar and tell him you would like the finer belts and you will get an edge you can shave with and a mirror edge.. Too bad they lost their lease and are looking for a new location. I hope they won't go the way like other Austin institutions of the past.

Provided by YP.comIf you value your knives do not take them here to be sharpened. They will grind to much of the blade to get an edge that does not last. Of the six knives I took in to be sharpened five of the blades was ground till the blade lost its original shape. It took less than twenty minutes for them to ruin almost $700.00 worth of blades. Two Benchmade, two HK's and one Boker.

Provided by YP.comAfter the fact I mentioned to a friend of mine what a horrible experience I had at Knife Sharpest, she told me, she too left there and went home feeling the same way. I'm glad to know at least some people had great experiences at this establishment. Mine was not so happy. The manager at the Burnet location was so rude, he did not sharpen my scissors as they told me they did after picking them up. I tested them in the store so he could see for himself they had not been sharpened, I asked for my money back, I could not drive back home and drive back up there again, nor should I have too-the service was not completed as promised. When I left the store, I looked back and could see him and another employee in the back door smoking and drinking beer. It must have been happy hour. (Oh, in order to complete a review on this, I HAD TO GIVE a star, I wouldn't have done so).
