In 1977, the National Bureau of Standards Special Publication 400-39 reported the Brookhaven current integrator as the standard against which all other current integrators should be measured, a standard which is still in effect. Brookhaven Instruments Corporation is a supplier of solid-state scan amplifiers and various types of dose controllers used in ion implanters in the semiconductor industry, as well as a manufacturer of current integrators used on particle accelerators in universities and nuclear research facilities throughout the world. In addition to supplying original equipment to manufacturers of ion implanters, Brookhaven Instruments has a line of proprietary instruments to upgrade implanters in the field. These products include current integrators and dose controllers used to upgrade the dosimetry systems of many Varian medium-current ion implanters. Brookhaven Instruments also offers a line of National Institute of Standards and Technology traceable current sources and instruments designed to monitor implanter sub-systems and prevent product loss. Brookhaven Instruments was founded in 1964 and is headquartered in Austin, Texas.
