I am currently staying with my best friend whose sister was killed in LA a few weeks ago. Parking on her side was never a problem until residents on the smaller leg of the property (where the property staff undoubtedly lives) started complaining. After that, they designated 31 narrow parking spaces (a Suburban touches the lines on each side) for the larger side where she lives, which is about 2.5 times the size of the smaller side which has 18 normal-sized spaces. Since visitor parking and towing complaints have gotten so out of hand (google the contracted towing company, Reliant Towing - Austin), the office issues visitor parking passes allowing visitors to park in other spaces for a maximum of 5 days per pass. I am staying here for a month to help the resident with schoolwork and support her through the time of her loss. My vehicle was towed because I accidentally put the expired pass on my dashboard instead of the valid one. The office staff, Mallory (who promptly locked the office door 15 minutes BEFORE closing) and McKinley (who can't even spell the name of the complex right), were completely condescending, had a total lack of understanding, and refused to help in any way, even after initially saying they would. They also towed the car of the resident's mother, who is a leaseholder and guarantor, two hours after her parking. She doesn't live at the apartments, as she is a guarantor for her daughter, and the apartment complex refuses to give her a resident sticker for that reason. The closest open visitor parking area a the time was over a quarter of a mile away and her mother was having severe health issues at the time, and could not walk the distance while carrying luggage. She was forced to park in the resident parking area in the last available spot. After retrieving her car to the tune of $300, she persistently called to speak with the manager, who dodged her calls and in-person visits, showed the apartment manager the medical condition from which she was suffering, and proved that she was in fact on the lease, and the apartment manager (Kristen?) was very unsympathetic, rude, condescending and unhelpful. They refused to reimburse in any way the towing charges, or help in any other way. The resident has lived here over a year, and since MAAC took over, the property has gone to hell in a hand basket. She has a fire hazard in her bathroom as the puny little fan does not vent the moisture from the shower causing corrosion on the light fixture. There is mold or other black buildup inside the air conditioner where there is condensation, and the maintenance staff dismisses it as paint...Why would the inside of the air conditioner have been painted black? The one and only trash deposit area (there is no trash pickup, even for a fee) is a far distance from many units, is always overflowing with trash, and never has the hand sanitizer dispenser filled, as the management is too cheap to fill it. Read and trust the reviews. All but one of the people who work here don't live here, that should tell you something.

STAY AWAY!!!! I cannot stress this enough. I took my son to the pool today. There are cigarette butts, used band-aids, and other various types of trash floating in the pool. They have a sign up there says please shower before entering, I would advise anyone to scour theirselves down after being in this pool. When I got my son out of the pool he had a long black hair stuck to the side of his neck. The managment is located right in front of the pool and they can see how filthy this place is. Please, look at the pool before renting here.
