Communities for Recovery is a community devoted to supporting life in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol abuse and related mental issues for individuals seeking help. This community is made up of parents and children of those who have suffered addiction, and volunteers, peers and employees, all working together in de-addiction programs. A peer support volunteer works with individuals wishing to recover from dual disorders and substance abuse by acting as role models to maintain confidence and inspire trust. Communities for Recovery offers a number of recovery programs like Dual Disorders Recovery Achievers (DDRA) and Back to Basics. It is located at Austin, Texas, and serves the neighborhood of Hyde Park.
