Provided by YP.compbj.sweets - you seem to be an idiot of the highest order. I bet you are uneducated, greedy, and a most likely a liar. Every lawyer I went to said I had a case, but they didn't want to file a lawsuit for me. However, the fellas at this law firm came highly recommend by a co-worker who had used them for an injury at HEB. They immediately filed suit for me, and right before trial, I was offered a very satisfying amount. These attorneys are anything but what you described ... I can't thank them enough.

Provided by YP.comI would like address the review that was posted by pbj.sweets on 08/28/2013.
First, because of confidentiality, I cannot specifically address the actual specifics or results of the case.
However, I can say that:
1. we never lie to our clients
2. phone calls are returned within 24 hours
3. we always pay medical expenses that we are legally required to pay (i.e. hospital liens and insurance subrogation obligations), and give the client the option to pay the medical expenses that we are not legally obligated to pay. In addition, we always give our clients a ‘settlement statement” reflecting all the expenses, attorney fees, and outstanding medical that we are paying, so that there is no ambiguity as to what was paid and what was not.
4. Very rarely does a party “admit fault” in a personal injury matter. The reason cases go to mediation and/or trial is because there is a dispute with some aspect of the case. And we never tell a client mediation “will never happen”. Most jurisdictions REQUIRE a case be mediated before it can go to trial.
5. We never tell clients at mediation (or during any phase of a case) that they have “to settle or get nothing”. We advise clients, based on our years of experience, what we feel a case may be worth (taking into account many factors, such as facts of the case, jurisdiction, relevant case law, etc…), and whether we feel a client should accept an offer. The decision to settle a case or go to trial is ALWAYS the clients.
As to pbj.sweets, it is obvious you were not satisfied with the results of your case. Texas is a conservative jurisdiction, and the Texas Supreme Court is not Plaintiff friendly. However, I also think many potential clients have unreasonable expectations because of the TV ads by other attorneys touting large settlement amounts of their former clients. All cases are different and many factors come into play when dealing with personal injury cases, and any attempt to imply that all “back injuries” are worth $77,206.50 is disingenuous and misleading.

Provided by YPmobileA friend referred me to the Criado Law Firm because of a car accident. I didn't think anything would come of my consultation. After reviewing all the information on my accident I was advised they would accept my case. Legal assistant Tania handled my case efficiently from the start. She arranged medical appointments making sure they were made to fit into my schedule, took care of all the paperwork -- all I had to do was show up to my appointments. As we moved toward the end of the process Tania kept me up to date as she put together the settlement offer. I was presented with all the numbers (costs) before and after negotiations. Tania was honest - thorough, looking into every possible option that I could benefit from. The final offer I received was a good and fair offer-who could ask for anything more! :)? I trust the Criado Law Group and especially Tania and I will highly recommend them to anyone needing a personal injury attorney.

Provided by YP.comThese lawyers have got to be some of the worst in Austin. They lied to me, did not answer my calls, and did no research into my case. They did not pay the medical bills that they told me would be paid, and I was left without a job in a case that they didn't even have to prove. The other party admitted fault. I would NEVER recommend these people to anyone. Not only that, but when we got into mediation (which they told me would not happen) they pretty much told me that I had to settle or get nothing! They were not willing to represent me in a case that was already proved! They are terrible attorneys!!!!

Provided by YP.comI couldn't be more pleased with the constant devotion the Criado law group had to settle my auto case. Tania was truly excellent. She certainly stayed consistent in notifying me of the progress and or changes that were to occur during the process to settle the case. She was always very helpful and always cheerful. I'm happy that the Criado law group was recommended to me. Now I certainly recommend this fine group of hard working individuals to anyone. Thanks guys.
