Dart Bowl is my bowling place of preference. Maybe because it's a little anonymous tucked away from the main streets, but I always feel I stand a better chance of getting a lane during league nights at Dart compared to the others. They also give you the option of bowling at an hourly rate or per game. Previous at Highland Lanes, I've only been offered the hourly option, and that's worked out to be the more expensive option. The Lanes at Dart are also well maintained. Staff are polite. I've previously also enjoyed Westgate Lanes for any South Austin folks (the south needs more establishments!).

This is an old-skool bowling alley if I've ever seen one. Totally relaxed, fun atmosphere where you can hang out with your friends, bowl a couple games, act silly, and just be yourself. I'd say it's the best bowling alley in Austin but I haven't been to the Highball yet and I hear it's pretty, pretty, pretty good.
