I ve been going to Gilberts auto repair for 7 yrs. He has worked on 3 of my cars. He has always tried his best to be fair; accurate; and mechanically sound. He will try to work with your financial situation if he can. Nobody; and i mean Nobody; in Austin does that anymore. Gilberts is one of the last shade tree mechanics you will find in this town. Go ahead and try to find a cheaper mechanic in this town for any estimate on any auto work. You won;t.

Took car in for transmission failure, replaced it with a 90 day , charge me 1800$ transmission started leaking to it back they looked at it and said yes it's leaking 250 more and we can fix it , asked why and just hurried me out the door and said can do it Saturday!

Worst experience ever , BEWARE
