I had my wedding at H12 in mid January. Everything looked great. It came with a wedding coordinator, food, tables, linens, etc, so I had to do very little outside contracting. The site, while a bit small, is beautiful. The staff was always pleasant to deal with. Up until the date of the event the owner, Georgia, had been very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Then comes the day of the wedding. Let me tell you, 1.5 hours to prepare before the official start time is not nearly enough. Then, less than two hours into the event, the coordinator bails on us. She placed someone we had never even heard of in charge and whom did not have her act together. The coordinator bailed about the time the cake was being cut up to serve and my new bride and I never got a piece until we were waiting for the limo to arrive. Due to the temperature outside, the guests were leaving early so we decided to advance our exit too. The staff did call the limo service to advance the arrival time. The second we left the staff started cleaning up. Now we are not talking picking up glasses, but mopping and flipping tables. My cleaning crew that was there to gather up our decorations all felt like they were being hurried out the door. They still had almost an hour till the event time plus cleaning time we had paid for was up. The cake plates and tiers disappeared and we lost our deposit on those. And when I voiced my concern about these things, the owner not only blew me off, but became extremely rude. She actually told me they will likely turn up in someones trunk. As this all happened within a week of the event, I have no doubt I will never see the security deposit again. Let me also mention that their lovely price to attract your business balloons about three fold when they include everything they already know you will need, like staff. If anyone doubts my story, I have all the emails to back it up.
