In operation for more than 110 years, Helping Hand Home for Children provides rehabilitation services for abused, neglected and abandoned children. It offers residential treatment and therapeutic foster care services for emotionally disturbed children and advocates for greater public support of early prevention, intervention, and treatment. Helping Hand Home is a private, nonprofit organization that is licensed by the state of Texas and governed by the membership of the Helping Hand Society. It supports a foster care program for children up to 18 years of age who need treatment services but can function successfully in a foster home with specially trained and supported foster parents.
