WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A DOCTOR! I wasted an entire month on Dr. Brotzman. I originally went in complaining of knee pain and made them aware ON THE INITIAL VISIT of a preexisting medical condition. I met Brotzmans PA and ordered an MRI. Turns out my meniscus was torn and had a second meeting where I was supposed to talk to Brotzman and consult about surgery. Once again he sends his PA in making the appointment ABSOLUTELY POINTLESS requiring me to schedule another one a half a month later. All this time I am dealing with daily pain in my knee.

In my final appointment, Brotzmans PA comes into the room and tells me that due to my condition (which, may I remind my readers, I disclosed in the INITIAL MEETING A MONTH PRIOR) he was uncomfortable operating on me. I NEVER MET DR BROTZMAN! Dr. Brotzman and Austin Orthopedic Sports medicine wasted an entire month of my life and offered me no solutions. I am now unable to schedule this surgery in the time I was supposed to have it done and now it will interfere with my work schedule. I work off of commission so this could even impact my standard of living.

I even had my specialists who deal with my medical condition consulting with Brotzman on how to do this procedure. Hell, I've had this EXACT SAME SURGERY ON MY OTHER KNEE ALREADY! That doctor in Wichita Falls had no difficulty treating me and even offered to transfer their procedures that they followed to complete a successful surgery.

I absolutely understand hesitancy in operating on someone with a preexisting condition. What I do not understand is that someone could LACK THE COMMON COURTESY TO LOOK A MAN IN THE EYE AND TELL HIM THAT. Honestly it made me feel like a second class citizen. Don't go here if you expect to be treated with respect

Dr. Botzman is fantastic but, staff not at all.

Dr. Brotzman did a knee surgery on me very caring and helpful same with the PT's. The PA Brittany on the other hand is useless!! You would think if you ask a question via email or leave a voicemail (the world would come to an end if she actually answered her phone) least she could do would be a small response by the end of day that she had heard the request or question and respond or find the answer for you by the next day. Not asking much! Instead I get sulky responses when I get to someone higher up then her trying desperately to get a response about necessary post surgical device she forgot to set up a rx for. she finally responds and says she knows some law that says she doesn't have to respond to anyone for 15 days and how much effort and work she is putting in for me and my neediness. Thanks a lot I'm sorry I need a motion device and a note for my job. Oh and I didn't just write the note for her to sign. If she called and told me I needed to write my own doctors note hell I would have but still probably would have taken 15 days to get signed and sent to my job.
