Provided by YP.comwent to tj's on tuesday around 12:30. my bike had broken down on me a couple miles down the road and i knew it was my starter switch on the housing of my handlebars next to my throttle. i asked if somebody knew how to just get it started and i'd bring it in. no. after waiting three hours, they wanted to tow the bike ($60). after we got the bike to the shop, the mechanic determined that yes, it was the switch and he repaired it without having to replace it. he also showed me how to start it with a screwdriver by the solenoid if the switch breaks again.
i knew there was a way to get it started but they wanted to charge me to tow it instead. total bill, over $130.
four days later, the repaired switch quit working. i started it with the screwdriver and rode to tj's. the manager, brian, told me that it was a temporary fix and i was out of luck.
so, instead of telling me how to start it and saving me $60 in towing, they also don't warranty any of their work once they "repair" it.
good job guys. you took my money and shrugged your shoulders when your work was proven shoddy only a few days later. thanks for ripping me off.
