Founded in 1993, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is an agency that is responsible for the protection of the state s human and natural resources. The agency coordinates the Texas Clean School Bus program, which is designed to improve the health of school children and bus drivers by reducing emissions of diesel exhaust from school buses. It also issues licenses for landscape irrigation programs, wastewater operators and on-site sewage facilities.
