Established in 1936, Avalon Independent School District is for students of pre-kindergarten to high school. AISD has a junior high football, junior high basketball, varsity football, varsity basketball, softball, eagles-track, junior high volleyball, varsity volleyball and baseball teams. It also has a monolithic dome, a high school library and a multipurpose center. AISD has counseling and student services, special programs and technology departments. AISD is in Avalon, Texas.
