Lakeview is located on the shore of beautiful Crystal Lake in the center of Averill Park, NY. We are renowned to locals and tourists alike for our family atmosphere and American cuisine from soups and sandwiches to prime rib and seafood. Purchased in 1979 by Art Herman, this historic 1800’s building consisted of a bowling alley, small dining room and a bar area. In March of 1980 it had an irreparable fire. Later that year the neighborhood gathering place was rebuilt without the bowling alleys, which have been incorporated into our dining tables and bar! Good food, nice atmosphere

As a long-time resident of Averill Park, the Lakeview is an excellent restaurant to which you can bring family and friends! The food is excellent, well-prepared and well-presented, with exceptionally reasonable prices for the quality of food. The menu has an array of different foods from which to choose, with excellent options for the pickiest of eaters. They have various-themed nights throughout the week (Mexican night on one night), and my family and I have celebrated more than a few holidays at their delicious buffets (Mothers' Day, Easter, etc.). The pizza and wings are some of the best in town! It's a must try!

Good Food, Bad Service

My husband and I stopped at the Lakeview for dinner. Its a nice looking place with nice scenery. We were seated immediately but then forgotten for approximately 20 minutes until our drink order was taken. The food was pretty good for the price. But the service was non existant. Our waitress never came back to our table after we received our meals. We actually had to flag down another waitress to get our check. The entire staff was comprised of late teen - early twenty something girls with no idea what they were doing. Very disappointing.
