Mary is a wonderful APRN. She is kind,takes her time with each patient and keeps up to date on medical procedures, medication etc. I wouldn't go to anyone else!!

On the evening of Monday May 12, 2008 I went to the Avon Medical Group with profuse bleeding from my nose. I arrived accompanied by my wife at 7:40pm, I was first ignored, and then my wife asked for someone to help stop my bleeding. We were told that we had to leave as the office closed at 8pm. My wife implored them to reconsider, stating that the office did not close for another 20 minutes. They reiterated that we had to leave. As a dentist in the Farmington Valley, I told them that I often stay past our “working hours” to aid a patient. In this case we were asking for treatment during working hours! At no time were we offered so much as a tissue or wet paper towel, mind you my shirt, hands and face were entirely covered in blood!!



An employee in my office just informed me of a friend who had been turned away at 7:35pm with facial numbness!!



How long before someone ends up with a life threatening situation due to that extra time being spent being denied care, when those extra minutes could be used to save a life?
