My best friend and i had found a wonderful mobile home for sale in the Avon park with a great lot. Things were all set with the seller. Things fell apart applying to the park. I spoke with the office to explain our credit was poor (credit card debt under 2000). No evictions, bankruptcies etc. However we were willing to pay a years worth of lot rent up front. The park took 4 days to deny our application and they didn't even have the decency to give either of us a call to inform us they just sent a letter we only found out before the letter arrived by constantly calling the office ourselves. Furthermore its very apparent we were discriminated against because we were young & i have a nose piercing because i was questioned/Harassed about it by the staff while applying in person at the park office. Personally i think turning down a years worth of lot rent at 450$/Month is a very poor business decision and speaks volumes as to how the park is run.
