Provided by YP.comI guess I will join the choir. Same problem. We have been loyal customers. I was away on business and over the weekend the oil ran out (I have become an expert in re-starting oil burners because Lorden's "automatic delivery" failed again- 3rd time this winter). We owed a partial payment so my wife offered them $500 to cover it. She was told there would be a $145 dollar weekend delivery fee and $25 to re-start. As long-term customers she thought that outrageous given our long-term status with them and refused. They refused to deliver and my family stayed cold until I got home.
Lorden will never step foot on my property again. There are so many better oil companies out there (as well s cheaper) flip a coin on any of them, they will be better than Lorden

Provided by YP.comDon't go to Lorden if you want a reliable oil company!
We have been a loyal Lorden Oil customer for more than 16 years. Today we called up to get our tank filled and they said no because we had $200 remaining from a partial payment -- for less than 30 days! How about that -- great treatment of a loyal customer.! On to another oil company that treats their customers like they should be treated. And, all other oil companies are cheaper! C'ya Loren

Provided by YP.comStay away from Lorden Oil! We have been customers of theirs for over a decade, and they have been hit or miss most of the time, but now they have sunk to the lowest of lows. We have always been automatic delivery customers, which means that they are supposed to deliver oil on their pre-determined schedule. However, twice in the last 2 months now we have had to call them to get oil delivered. We always pay our bill immediately, the day of the delivery. This time, we ran out of oil on a Saturday, and had to call them to deliver. They charged us $140.00 to deliver oil on Saturday, because they failed to meet the auto-delivery commitment. Needless to say, I am going to pursue a refund of the $140.00 fee, and I'm going to file a complaint with the BBB. This is a treacherous practice, and they must not need any customers, because I will be leaving them too.
If I could give them a negative star count, I would, as they have become corrupt and underhanded. As an auto-delivery customer, I shouldn't have to call them to deliver oil on time, let alone pay a fee for a weekend delivery.
As I stated at the beginning, STAY AWAY FROM LORDEN OIL.

Provided by YP.comThat's funny because they owe me money and keep saying the check is in the mail. So it's ok for them to hold your money but if you owe them it's not ok. I've already switched.

Provided by YP.comI have been a client of Lorden since 1993, since then they have failed to show up for scheduled boiler installations, flooded my basement after a service visit and failed to fix the 2nd zone of heating in my finished basement. The final straw happened today when they failed to make a delivery and we ran out of oil. Their reason, you're carrying a balance....We've paid our bill every year with them, the balance was less than $300 and a check was just sent this month for a service visit they actually showed up for....it was time to move my business elsewhere....as should you....don't use them!
