I took my car to this shop about a year ago. Horrible experience. I normally took my car to a different shop but I recently moved and this shop was much closer to my house. I am a woman and I know a decent amount about cars. When I dropped my car off for them to figure out why my car was being a little shaky they called me within 3 hours and told me that once they got a good look they found a lot of things that were wrong and causing the shaking. VERY EXPENSIVE THINGS that were wrong ($1600). I started asking questions because I didn't see how some of the issues were related. I feel that the owner Mike tried to use big fancy car terms to "scare" me. I don't think he expected that I would know a thing or two about cars. I truly feel that he tried to take advantage of me being a woman and betting on the fact that I would be clueless. When I finally eluded to the fact that I understood the mechanics and started pointing out problems in what he was telling me he got very defensive. He said, "yeah I've never seen anything like this, it’s definitely not the norm, but that's what is causing it." Really?? in a 3 hours you happen to find out what was wrong with my car, but yet you've never seen it before? Wow I'll say that's pretty lucky you discovered the issue so quickly. He also assured me that if I did not get all of this work done ASAP, even within the day, I would damage my car and need more work. Needless to say I took my car back to my old mechanic. I did not even bother to tell them about my prior experience or what Mike had said was wrong with it. They fixed the simple problem for $200 and my car has been great since.

I should have read the reviews before I had Motley work on my wife's vehicle. I randomly chose Mike's shop to do some work on my wife's vehicle after I noticed an issue with the wheel. The first time I went there he seemed to really try to help us save money and he offered to drive us home. That's where the positive experience ended and I was gouged the next two times. I can 100% agree with the previous comments that Mike gives a low estimate then almost doubles it every time after that. He lies about issues either being there or lies about fixing something. I was only able to find out after I had another tech in Lakeworth work on it and said it was clear that the repair was not made or even needed. BEWARE of Motley's shop and I hope the BBB or someone is able to make this shop honest...

Montley Automotive does excellent work and I highly recommend using them. Costs have always been reasonable. They have driven me home so I didn't have to keep my child at the shop. Mike also came to my home to make sure my car was ok to drive when my steering column locked up. I was worried about my 1 year old sons safety and my husband was out of town. Montley Automoticd fixed my steering column the next day. They even picked up my car so I didn't have to risk endangering my son. Great people at this shop.

Mike motley is dishonest bad work conduct when ya call this to his attention he throws a fit an blames on on everyone else and the quotes well my final bill was double he don't warranty his work an in my case he has filled theriost the art on me for telling him he is a fake

This facility is the best! I am not familiar with the area and was reffered to Motleys' through a co-worker. Best advice ever! Family ran, friendly service. They even took me across the street to eat and picked me up! When my car was not ready (I only have an hour for lunch) the owners brought me to work! The best place ever . I have never been treated so well by an automotive company. I will be back and telling everyone about how great they are!

We at motley automotive strive to do our best for our customers. I have read the two reviews that were posted. I hate that these two people were unsatisfied. We have been in business for over thirteen years. I would hope that out of all the customers we have managed to satisfy over the years that you won't let the two negative reviews here be the deciding factor of letting us be the shop to service your car. In fact if you have seen these reviews then please feel free to mention them to us so we can make their misfortune into something fortunate for you. Horrible, Unethical, Dishonest, Scam.....

Motley Automotive will always quote you a price far below what your final bill will come to. When the owner gets caught in a lie about a service or part he did not actually do he throws excuses out like crazy and talks horrible about his mechanics behind their backs. The owner "Mike Motley "is only out for a quick dollar with no ethics or morals as to how he obtains it. The lies and rude sarcastic remarks Mike makes after being confronted make you sick after they are so nice and positive at the beginning to get your work. I warn everyone to research this shop and ask around before using them. You will not get a good recomindation.
