They rebuilt my transmission. When a mysterious noise developed 3 months later, I took it back to them, they said it wasn't the transmission. The noise got worse, so I bought a used engine and had it rebuilt and got ready to put it in. When the mechanic separated the transmission from the engine, we started the (old) engine, and the noise was NOT in the engine. It WAS the transmission. Took it back to Gil's, but he wouldn't man up and do a work-back because it was past warranty (by days, not weeks). They had used a Mexican-rebuilt torque converter, a weld failed resulting in a badly cracked pump & case destroying the whole transmission. I'm done with Gil's forever.
