Salt water generators produce chlorine only when the water circulates over the salt cell. Depending on the size of the pool will determine the length of time the water is circulated in order to produce chlorine and prevent the possibility of improper water balance . ( thus- green water) if PG&E cost is the reason for the Reduced run time this is something to be considered when building a pool. Communication with the owner is critical to correct an unresolved issues ! Kern Pool Service takes great pride in their customer service and their work!

If you have a salt water pool system, don't hire this company. They keep adding chlorine tablets (of which I'm allergic and, thus, have a salt water system instead!) to my pool and filter basket! I have reminded them over and over not to do this and they still do..They also are not very attentive to cleaning (sweeping) the pool thoroughly. They rucsh through their service call and take shortcuts. I am in the process of finding a new service company who will care about my needs!
