Ming Avenue Child Development Services provides early education and services to students in preschool. It is a program offered by Kern County Superintendent of Schools and through this program, it operates more than 16 child development centers located in Bakersfield, Lamont, McFarland, Shafter, Tehachapi, Wasco and Weldon in California. The program serves more than 1,200 preschool children from low-income families. The Kern County Department of Child Development and Family also provides other programs, such as The Kern County Child Care Council, Community Connection for Child Care, Dental Health Network and Kern County Child Care Council. Its Community Connection for Child Care program provides various options, such as education and support to children, families, child development professionals and the community.
