TELESPEECH therapy was founded by speech pathologist Christy Slayton. Christy is a board certified. CA licensed and credentialed SPEECH-LANGUAGE pathologist with 11 years of experience in the field. SHE has provided speech and language services for schools and in private practice. SHE has Also served AS a special education administrator. Christy received HER bachelor’s of ART degree in communicative disorders and HER master of science degree in communicative disorders. SHE is a wife and a mother of 4 children. Christy was inspired to start TELESPEECH therapy because of HER professional experiences dealing with the shortages of qualified SPEECH-LANGUAGE pathologists when SHE was a special education administrator and DUE to personal hardships of having to travel great distances to GET HER youngest SON the services that HE needed. The mission of TELESPEECH therapy is to allow more individuals better access to services from highly qualified practitioners in the field of SPEECH-LANGUAGE pathology by delivering services utilizing technology. This technology permits flexible scheduling to meet client’s individual needs from the comfort and convenience of their OWN home. It eliminates barriers such AS regional restrictions. Scheduling restraints. Mobility. And/or health related issues. Clients are NO longer limited to just the professionals in their region. But have access to specialists from ALL over.
