Recently I posted a glowing review of Towery's service PRIOR TO
HAVING ANY WORK DONE on my AC unit, forced air which is a ground unit. My initial contact with the worker who came to my home was positive. He seemed knowledgeable and courteous, professional in appearance. He outlined the work I needed and told me the parts I needed were available. They were parts ordered for another person, but they had never called back, so they were available for me if I chose them to do the work. He quoted me a price initial of $455 out the door.
A day later, I set up the visit and time of 12:30 pm for him to come and do the work.
He did show, however, it was more like 9:30 (I was not home to watch him). His reason I later found out, was to squeeze in another job....he threw in the parts in 15 minutes and left, according to my adult son who was at home at the time.
I checked the work once I got home from work and found a less than satisfactory job! The "professionalism" he showed in the finished product was poor. He had taped two live wires together on top of the unit with electrician's tape...no cap or anything and left them exposed on top of the unit like a sore thumb, fully in range of my sprinklers. I took pictures. It was the worst job I have ever seen done by anyone working in the trades. Really Mickey Mouse. (My dad was a professional tradesman, Journeyman boilermaker, welder, pipefitter-card carrying) so I know a good job done right vs. what I witnessed in my backyard that day.
I called and spoke to Mr. Towery and received NO SATISFACTION from this guy at all. I am stuck with a big bill (over what the original worker quoted me) and a job which is less than professional....
My advice: I will never ever ever ever use this company again. My house could have burned down! Just sayin'
