Provided by YP.comI purchased a Groupon for Victory Cleaning Services for my mother as a gift. She is getting older, her health is not the best and she could really use the extra help around the house. Just prior to purchasing the Groupon I called Sara, the owner, and discussed the option of dividing the four services over an extended period of time. She assured me that it would not be a problem, and encouraged me to make the $100 purchase for four (three hour) cleaning sessions. The first two cleaning sessions went fine. I mean, I am really not one to complain, so had the next two sessions gone according to plan, I may not be here mentioning the fact that we had to specifically ask for the dishes to be washed, to sweep under the beds, and for her to dust the ceiling fans at the beginning of the second visit because they were not done on her first visit. I would also not mention that those things did not go neglected because she ran out of time, because in fact she "finished" 20 minutes early her first day. But I digress. As I stated, the first two sessions were fine.
Sara arrived to the third appointment without sending a confirmation email (as she had with the two previous sessions), on a date which she was not expected to arrive. I was with my mother at the time, and although we were leaving, we were willing to adjust our schedule, so she could stay. But Sara said, "no problem", I would "love a Friday off", and took out her calendar to affirm the date of our third cleaning, and went ahead and scheduled our fourth cleaning as well. Upon the actual date of our third cleaning, my mother was not feeling well and consequently had to cancel that appointment. We understood that because she cancelled late, we wouldn't be able to reschedule the third appointment, and had to forgo that service. Just days later I received an email from Sara saying that because the Groupon deal had to be completed over a one month period, and there were 2 missed appointments (one of which was not our error), that she would not be able to fulfill any existing cleaning services.
I was puzzled to receive the email, and thought perhaps Sara had forgotten her original agreement. So I immediately responded to her with a lengthy email detailing our conversations leading to that point to help refresh her memory. I also followed up with a phone call. It has been exactly a week and both the email and phone call have gone unanswered.
It is clear to me that Sara saw an opportunity to make a profit by attempting to get over on a new client, and took advantage. She has displayed an utter lack of integrity and no respect for her clients. My advice: proceed with extreme caution when considering this business.

Side note: Although I am disappointed with the lack of integrity from the merchant, I am very pleased with the Groupon's ability to ensure their customers are always satisfied. I contacted Groupon directly to inform them of what happened, and they offered me a full refund. Thank God for businesses that care about their customers!
