Provided by YP.comWhen I was growing up in my grandparents home, the AFRO Newspaper was the only reading literature that we had in our home accept for our school books, of course!! Then came along the Jet and Essence as I had gotten older. Getting the Afropaper was a very easy task, in fact no task all all !!! It was in everybody's house that we visited and occasionally found as pet bedding. But it was there!! Then I noticed it wasn't there or at most, very rarely seen where all the "other" reading materials were sold. I'm guilty too, as life sweeped me up in becoming an adult, I simply faded away from reading my most valuable friend, because it was not sticking me dead in my face as I went about my growing up life. Now that I've written this little piece of memoir to you and myself, I shall go on a seach to back the AFRO back into my home and now maybe my grandchildren will learn to cling to such a more than worthy reading. Of couse in this day of computer and electronical reading and doings this is going to be a grand fight!
