Barclay School is a public institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to more than 400 students in pre-kindergarten through grade eight. The school is a member of the Baltimore City Public School System and is approved by the Maryland State Board of Education. It maintains a staff of more than 20 teachers that offers educational classes in music, art, physical education, technology applications, reading, writing, social studies and math. Barclay School offers a variety of activities, including field trips and academic competitions. The school has a library media center that directs the learning resource center, which houses supplemental multimedia materials and a variety of recreational and informational reading selections. Barclay School has been operational since 1959 and is located in Baltimore.
