Cardinal Shehan School is a Catholic school, offering a variety of educational and enrichment programs for students in prekindergarten through grade eight. The school s curriculum includes mathematics, Spanish, English, religious studies, health education, science and technology, social studies and language arts. It also offers classes in arts and crafts, vocal and instrumental music, and physical education. The school publishes a monthly newsletter, Building Readers that includes information on the upcoming events, parenting tips, students quiz and puzzles, and other school activities. It also offers various extracurricular activities, such as choir, drama, dance, band, karate and sewing. St. Thomas More School and St. Matthew School merged in 1989 to form Cardinal Shehan School. Located in Baltimore, the school enrolls more than 400 students.
