Dr. Bernescu is a colorectal and general surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She also performs colonoscopies and is trained in anal/rectal disease. She is board-certified in general surgery and colorectal surgery. Dr. Bernescu was trained in robotic surgery using the DaVinci System and completed a fellowship in colorectal surgery at Ferguson Clinic, GRMEP in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She earned her medical degree from New York University before going on to a General Surgery Residency at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Bernescu speaks Romanian and Spanish, in addition to English.
