Dr. Reoma is a graduate of University of Michigan Medical School. He completed surgical residency at the University of Michigan Health system in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he also completed a research fellowship in artificial organs and critical care. He went on to train in cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He also received advanced cardiac surgery training at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.Dr. Reoma was a military surgeon for 10 years and previously practiced at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. He specializes in complex cardiac surgery including mitral valve repair, minimally invasive mitral valve repair, aortic valve repair, aortic root and aneurysm procedures, coronary artery bypass grafting with arterial grafts, and atrial fibrillation surgery. His practice also includes TAVR. Dr. Reoma is board certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Thoracic Surgical Society, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
