The worst chimney people in the biz. So called general manager John had no idea what was going on with my chimney. Did absolutely nothing while some other guy was putting up ladder, cleaning inside,then going back on roof.They must definitely work off commission cause he tried to sell me anything he had.Looked up chimney after done and was the same as before they "cleaned" it. Total waste of time and money

By far the worst experience I could have imagined. I contacted Magic Chimney to have my chimney swept on a home I just purchased. Two people came out, one introduced himself as the manager, I believe his name was John. First of all, I have two wood burning stoves connected to a single chimney. They told me that one flue was dirty and the other was clean and that the dirty flue was connected to the upstairs stove.

When I stated the stove the next morning, I found that they misidentified the flu’s. So they cleaned the flue to the downstairs and the stove upstairs, basically half cleaned both. Now when I burn downstairs, smoke fills the upstairs of the house where the flues where not reattached correctly. Also, they told me while they were up on the roof they noticed that my crown on the chimney was cracked and needed to be replaced. I said OK and put down a $100 deposit.

The day before the installation occurred I went on the roof to put up Christmas lights and there were no cracks in the crown at all. That was a Sunday and I forgot to call first thing Monday to cancel. I called the office when my wife said they were there to do the work and asked them for before and after pictures of the work that was done. That was more than 2 weeks ago; I have yet to receive any pictures.

I have called multiple times and asked to speak with the manager who has yet to call me back. Please save your money and go elsewhere, they are unprofessional and will scam you given the chance. I wasted more than $500 dollars on these people just to have the work re-done.
