My family has been traveling to Baltimore from the Virginia suburbs since the early 70's. That's because my father, who was born in Warsaw, said that the closest Kielbase he ever found was made by Ostrowski's on South Washington Street.



DO NOT CONFUSE THIS SHOP WITH THE BANKS STREET OSTROWSKI'S. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME!!!!



The shop hasn't changes a bit in the almost 40 years I've been visiting there. They have a great selection of all sorts of fresh meats including the Polish Kielsbasa, both fresh & smoked, and spicy as well as other meats. The Polish Hot Dogs (in the natural casings) are FANTASTIC cooked on the grill. If you're looking for the best AUTHENTIC Polish meats, you owe it to yourself

to trek on over to OSTROWSKI's on S. Washington Street in Baltimore.
