Star-Spangled Banner Flag House
844 E Pratt St, Baltimore, MD 21202
The Star-Spangled Banner Flag House is a historic home and museum. Mrs. Pickersgill was an American patriot and a Baltimore citizen. She sewed the Star-Spangled Banner, the flag that flew over Baltimore harbor after the Battle of Baltimore and inspired a young man named Francis Scott Key to write the American national anthem in honor of her flag. Now, her home is a National Historic Landmark.
