Went there for dinner. Three of us total. Nobody was in the dining room (5:00 PM) Couldn't order anything fried because of a party food being cooked for the Amazon place across the street. We were fine with that. Understood that happens. The "pizza bread" that is served with/before the meal came out as we were almost done eating. Had to flag down the bartender three times to get our waitress. Again, only ones in the restaurant. My food came out cold. Sent it back still was cold. We are usually Squire's people but we thought we would try Vinny's. I have been there two other times. No problems as I just mentioned. But last night, was just disappointing. No reason why we had to flag the bartender down to get our waitress.

Offering the best of both worlds with a sub-shop/carry out/ informal front to a sit/down eat-with-a-fork-and-knife restaurant in the back, Vinnie's is a great place for a family dinner, a date or a quick lunch on the run, I know-I've been there for all of the above occasions. Although I will warn you - the worst thing that I ate here was EXCELLENT! My favorite is the Italian sausage & onions and I often order this for take-out, add it the pasta dish that I have prepared, and never confess that I didn't make the entire meal! The pizza bread that they bring to the tables is a great treat, but don't fill up on this-tempting as it is to do, because the portions are so generous that you will already be bringing home some of your meal, if you fill up on the bread-you'll end up bringing it all home! But do like I do-send it to work with your hubby the next day for lunch with a note proclaiming-"I love you so much I made you lunch"! Believe me, he'll be so happy that you'll never hear a complaint when he asks you "what did you make for dinner?" and you tell him "RESERVATIONS, AT VINNIE'S CAFE!" Delicious food, affordable prices, you can't do better!

This is off the beaten path when you're looking for Italian cuisine, but doesn't mean that it isn't any good. It is just the opposite. Their food either equals or surpasses menus from Little Italy. You definately will leave with a container because their portions are more than ample for anyone to eat.

What a great little Italian rest. tucked away on Holibird Ave. Wonderful food and live music to boot!! This truly is a Diamond in the rough!!!!!
