Provided by YP.comI have my motherinlaw here, we do not recommend this facility for safe care! We attempted to make a complaint! But they do not list there board members online! The administration person Phil Bennett is a insensitive person! We did a back ground check on him after getting the run around, he has been found guilty in Bangor district court for harassment towards others! We now know why he's not helping us when we complaint! He just do not know how to help Mainers, because he is from another state! We suggest Bangor rehab do a better back ground check on its staff, also list there board members on there website!

Provided by YP.comBangor Nuring and Rehabilitation Center, had just been voted the Best Nursing Facility in the greater Bangor area. The staff is incredibly helpful and incredibly supportive. My mother-in-law was at this facility, she came very compromised from the hospital. Her health had always been unstable for a year now. When she got to BNRC her comfort and dignity was of the utmost importance. She got some improvement, and was able to participate in Bingo, Parties, Musical programs put on by the wonderful Activities Department. The facility was incredibly clean, the facility also has some updates to the place. New floors, Beautiful court yard, and the food is great too! It may be small, but it's work is mighty. All of the staff are visible all the time, the DR is in, and Its a very secure building. incredibly. Mom's last days were rough, it had been very emotional, and the staff there were so supportive, kind, respectful, and treated her so nicely. I can't say enough about this place. They are just amazing!

Provided by YP.comI stayed at Bangor Nursing and Rehab and had a great experience. The rehab staff had me up and moving very quickly. My husband visited everyday and they made him feel right at home.
My husband tells me that I came home in the best shape of my life.
The food was ok, but the care was very good.
I am going to return to Bangor Nursing when I have my other knee done.

Provided by YP.comFirst and foremost, the pain management for the rehab patients is horribly managed. My friend hasn't seen her doctor in a week following her knee replacements. Her pain got out of control before anything was done. Help is not readily available. Then, instead of the expected dinner of (beef stew), she received a bowl of peas with a biscut!! (which could not be explained or remedied) This is just a small example of the food problems! When I visited and had to use the visitors restroom, I was appauled at the amount of ground in dirt on the floor tiles. I was afraid to touch anything. The workers act as though they are hidding something and look at you as though they are paranoid about something. I was very disgusted and am worried very much about my friend.
