Provided by YP.comMy daughter has been going to Lil' Black Bear for about a year now. She has had some issues with her behavior and has been being treated by medical professionals for some time now for her issues/illness. Cheryl was totally up front with us concerning her policies with safety and making sure the children she is taking care of are able to be taken care of safely in a daycare setting. We were very upfront with her about our daughters' issues, and started bringing her there knowing full well that it may not work out for all of us. I just have to say I am so thankful for Cheryl and how she has worked with us! She is well-educated in dealing with children, and the structure and schedule she has provided at her daycare have helped my daughter to grow leaps and bounds over the last year. My husband and I have said over and over again that we are so thankful we found Cheryl. Her caring and compassion have proven to be exactly what our family needed, and it is invaluable to have a daycare provider who will work with us to make sure our child is safe and happy in her care.

Provided by YP.comMy Son has been going to lil' black bear for a year now, he has been doing amazing there. My son never was out of my husband and I's hands for 2 1/2 years and sending him off to daycare was so hard for us. but after a couple of days of my son being there he was doing amazing, he was happy, and adapted great. my husband and I did not have to worry one bit about him throughout the day. Cheryl is great she communicates with my husband and i on a daily basis on what we are doing at home to my sons daycare days. For example potty training, taking away pacifiers, personal space, sign language, sharing, eating habbits, arts and crafts. Cheryl would never let a child go in 2 weeks due to no reason. The only exception would be if a child is unsafe to the other children, which is understandable. Cheryl will not let anyone enter the home during hours as well as help out without a background check from the state. This is amazing!! a lot of local daycares will let anyone come in and out without letting you know who is around your child. Cheryl sends out newsletters every month with cute pictures of the kids as well as information and favorite books. My son comes home everyday wanting to go back to daycare or to see his "girlfriends" the next day :). The daycare is all one level and equipped for anyone handicapped, this makes it great for the kids to move around as well as intake any child that needs the extra care and attention. I will recommend this daycare to anyone!!!!!!

Provided by YP.comMy two young children have been with Cheryl for the better half of a year now. My children absolutely love Cheryl. Each evening they are full of new stories about all the different activities they played and the exciting things they have learned. My son was not yet using words when he first started at Lil' Black Bear Child Care and with in just weeks he came home using sign-language. Cheryl has assisted my children with each and every mile-stone along our way. My husband and I can go about our days knowing that our kids are being safely nurtured in a fun-loving environment. I do and always will highly recommend Lil' Black Bear Child Care to anyone looking for trustworthy and loving care for the children.

Provided by YP.comMy child has been going to Cheryl's daycare since the day she opened almost 2 years ago. I truley feel Cheryl has had my daughter's best interest in mind at all times. Cheryl has always been very open and honest about any situations that may arise. I feel confident when i go to work everyday that my daughter is in safe capable hands. My 2 year old daughter knows her alphabet, she can count to 15, she says please and thank you, she's been using sign lanquage since she was 10 months old and she's potty trained. She learned all of this from going to Cheryl's daycare. i have recommended Cheryl to friends in the past and I will continue to recomend Cheryl to friends in the future. My daughter loves to see Cheryl and the other children everyday.

Provided by YP.comI would not Recommend Cheryl as a daycare provider, she seems very nice at first and will tell you your child is doing great and she loves having him/her and then out of the blue she will decide you child is too much work and give you a 2 week notice. Very unprofessional and does not truly care about the children she has in her care all she really cares about is money. We would walk in the door on Friday's to drop of our child and the first word out of her mouth was do you have payment for next week......
I am very sorry you feel that I am all about the money.....if that was the case then I would have kept the child. I do truely care about the children I care for and only want the absolute best for all the children in my care. If I had to ask for payment on Friday then it may have been an issue in paying in a timely fashion. If there are any people out there reading this review and are looking for child care please do know that I have never given a two week notice to a child that has been safe around the other children in my care and fit into a child care setting. I have plenty of exceptional references from current and past families and would be more than happy to share them with you. I find it unprofessional to place statements online and never state why your child was discharged.....maybe would shed some light on things for people looking for a child care. I find this statement very offensive, slanderous, and think trying to hurting my good name in business is not the way to go about it.
